Description
A Little Tongue Goes a LONG WAY!!! A Downy Woodpecker uses its tongue to help it push down a berry from Red Osier Dogwood plant recently in eastern Ontario. Seen and photographed at the Perth Wildlife Reserve in Perth Ontario. When I was processing the image is when I discovered the tongue of this little woodpecker helping it push the berry down into its stomach..
